TROLLSTORE / EXACT-BUILD INSTALLER
The TrollStore installer is a narrow TrollRestore route—not a general MisakaX feature and not a jailbreak. Confirm ProductVersion plus BuildVersion, protect the exit path, then prove helper, TrollStore, persistence and the restored Apple app as separate stages.
DIRECT ANSWER
Use this installer only for 15.2–16.6.1, 16.7 RC 20H18, or a verified 17.0 route. iOS 16.7 final, 16.7.x after the RC, 17.0.1+, 18.x and 26.x are outside it even when a MisakaX desktop release opens.
ProductVersion and BuildVersion match.
The crafted backup is accepted.
The replaced app launches TrollHelper.
TrollStore installs and opens.
A proper persistence helper is installed.
The genuine Apple app returns.
EXACT RANGE / PRIMARY CONTRACT
The primary README supplies the installer range. The TrollStore code supplies a separate beta/final distinction. We preserve both instead of converting every 17.0 label into the same decision.

WHAT THE INSTALLER DOES
This route does not need a borrowed MobileGestalt or fake ProductType. The temporary system-app replacement is the mechanism and must be reversed after persistence is established.
TrollRestore checks ProductVersion, BuildVersion, device class and the selected removable app.
The source path downloads the embedded persistence helper from opa334/TrollStore releases.
The payload targets the chosen removable Apple app; upstream recommends Tips.
The mobile backup service writes the replacement. Find My can reject this stage.
The device returns; the replaced app should now launch TrollHelper.
Helper launch and TrollStore installation are recorded as separate outcomes.
Install the proper persistence helper from TrollStore settings before restoring the app.
Delete the replaced app, redownload the genuine app, then verify both surfaces.
ONE CONTROLLED PREFLIGHT
All gates must be satisfied together. A compatible build cannot compensate for an untrusted binary, missing backup, blocked Find My control or unproven app recovery.
Capture the About screen and retain the complete identifier.
Record repository, release tag, filename and hash. No mirror.
Verify a current personal backup outside the temporary crafted restore.
Turn it off normally, never by bypass, and plan to re-enable it.
Confirm the genuine built-in app is available for redownload.
Direct cable, trusted device and one recognized Apple desktop stack.
The upstream release requires iTunes. Prove the phone is visible before opening the installer; do not mix driver stacks mid-run.
Open Windows guide →Use the owner release. TrollRestore 1.0 notes an Intel notarization issue; evaluate the exact signed/downloaded file, not a workaround archive.
Open macOS guide →Open issue #40 and PR #42 currently track a pymobiledevice3 import change. That does not prove a packaged MisakaX GUI is broken.
Read upstream issue #40 →OBSERVED RESULT / NEXT ACTION
Name the first completed or failed stage. That preserves attribution and stops a harmless no-effect result from becoming repeated restore attempts.
Keep the original state. Resolve the exact Find My, USB or backup error before considering another run.
Record no effect. Do not call the installer complete and do not spam Apply.
Check whether TrollStore exists. Preserve the crash, then recover the genuine app if helper cannot run.
Install TrollStore once. Keep Tips in helper state until the next stage is proven.
Open Settings and install a proper persistence helper. One launch is not persistence proof.
Delete the replaced host and redownload the genuine Apple app.
TrollStore survives its normal check and the genuine app behaves normally.
Freeze all writes, preserve the last stage and use the safety route. Do not run another crafted restore.
PERSISTENCE + ORIGINAL APP
A working TrollStore with a broken or fake Tips app is incomplete. A restored Tips app without persistence is also incomplete.
Record the installed version and one normal launch.
Use TrollStore Settings; TrollRestore does not complete this automatically.
Do not infer it from the temporary helper host.
Only after persistence; use the normal iOS app deletion path.
Use the App Store exact-name result published by Apple.
Confirm the device is visible in Find My again.
Open TrollStore, then Tips. Record each result separately.
Build, sources, hashes, log, persistence and recovery state—with secrets removed.
SUPPORT RECORD
Useful: model, chip class, ProductVersion, BuildVersion, desktop OS, exact owner asset and hash, USB baseline, chosen app, Find My state, restore text, reboot, helper, TrollStore, persistence and original-app state.
Remove: serial, UDID, IMEI, Apple Account, backup password, private backup paths and personal data. A screenshot of an entire device-information screen often contains more than support needs.

Owner claims and upstream behavior define the route. Individual issue reports expose failure states but do not expand compatibility.
The TrollRestore-based feature is published for iOS and iPadOS 15.2 through 16.6.1, 16.7 RC build 20H18, and 17.0. That narrow installer range is independent from the broader MisakaX or misaka26 product range.
No. The version/build range is an entry gate, not a success rate or device promise. The owner source, desktop package, Apple driver connection, Find My state, removable app, helper download, backup restore and post-reboot helper must still complete on the actual device.
No. TrollRestore 1.0 documents restore problems on 15.0 through 15.1.1 and starts its supported range at 15.2. Use the official TrollStore installation guide to find a method for the exact device instead of forcing this route.
Only build 20H18 is the published 16.7 RC route. Read ProductVersion and BuildVersion together; the text “16.7” by itself is not enough.
No. iOS 16.7 final is build 20H19, not the supported RC build 20H18. Later 16.7.x builds are outside this installer route too.
No. 20H115 is not 20H18. Changing only the visible version label or choosing a newer MisakaX release does not create the required vulnerable build.
The TrollRestore README explicitly lists 21A326, 21A327, 21A329 and 21A331 as the four final iOS 17.0 variants. None of those identifiers means 17.0.1 or a later 17.x release.
The official TrollStore code recognizes a separate iOS 17.0 beta 1–8 vulnerability range, while available installation methods can depend on beta and device architecture. A beta build that is not one of the four final identifiers should be routed through the current upstream installation guide, not treated as a final-build MisakaX promise.
No. TrollStore’s owner states that 17.0.1 and later are outside the current CoreTrust-based runtime range unless another suitable bug is found. This installer cannot widen that boundary.
Not through this installer. MisakaX and misaka26 can list much newer systems for capability work, but their TrollStore line preserves the narrow TrollRestore range. Product compatibility does not transfer to every feature.
They are two different claims. The first is the desktop product’s feature-writing range; the second is an exploit-dependent installer path. A newer interface around TrollRestore does not create a CoreTrust vulnerability on a newer iOS build.
No. TrollStore is a permanently signed jailed app installer on vulnerable systems. Its owner explicitly notes limits such as no general system-process tweak injection, launch daemons or full platformization. A TrollStore installation does not turn MisakaX into jailbreak support.
The underlying TrollRestore method restores a crafted backup that replaces the main binary of a removable built-in app with TrollHelper. After reboot, that app launches the helper, which installs TrollStore; you then install a persistence helper and restore the original app.
TrollRestore recommends Tips because it is a removable built-in Apple app and provides a predictable helper host. Choosing an essential or unknown app is outside this guide. Apple confirms Tips can be deleted and redownloaded from the App Store.
The upstream script can offer other removable system apps, but Tips is its recommendation. If you choose another removable app, record its exact name and verify its App Store recovery path before the restore. Do not select an essential service or guess from a bundle identifier.
No. This TrollRestore route is not the ordinary MisakaX capability-flag workflow. Do not import another device’s MobileGestalt or edit ProductType to make the installer appear compatible.
Yes. The owner warns that device modification can bootloop and tells users to create a backup. TrollRestore also performs a crafted backup restore internally; that temporary write is not a substitute for a current, recoverable copy of your own data.
The upstream workflow builds and restores a crafted backup that targets the removable app; it does not instruct you to factory-erase the device. That is not a no-data-loss guarantee. Keep a recoverable personal backup, and stop if a repack or unrelated guide asks you to erase the phone as part of this route.
The restore service can reject the crafted backup while Find My is enabled, and TrollRestore reports that condition directly. Turn Find My off only through Apple’s normal account setting, complete or abandon the controlled run, then turn it back on and verify the device appears again.
Stop. Do not bypass a security delay, remove the device from the account remotely or weaken account security for an optional installer. Resume only when the normal Apple control is available and the owner workflow still matches the exact build.
The TrollRestore 1.0 route publishes Windows 10 or later with iTunes installed. Use an official release asset or the exact owner-packaged path, keep one direct USB connection and stop if the device is not visible to the Apple driver stack.
The published precompiled path requires macOS 11 or later. The 1.0 release also notes an Intel notarization warning. Use only an owner asset and evaluate any macOS security prompt by its exact file and source.
That is a separate developer route, not a required repair for the MisakaX GUI. As of this page review, upstream issue #40 and unmerged PR #42 track a pymobiledevice3 import/dependency break in the direct Python path. Do not assume it affects a packaged GUI, and do not paste random dependency pins into a system Python installation.
The script obtains the latest embedded persistence helper from the official TrollStore releases. Preserve the URL and error, confirm normal network and GitHub access, then stop. Do not replace it with a helper from a mirror or file-sharing site.
The device should restart, the chosen app should open as TrollHelper, TrollStore should install, and then its persistence helper should be installed. Only after persistence is present should you restore the original chosen app and verify both TrollStore and the Apple app.
No helper was observed, so do not call that a completed installation. Record it as “restore or replacement had no effect,” preserve the log and exact build, and resolve route, USB or restore evidence before any repeat.
No. A crash proves neither a working helper nor an installed TrollStore. Stop repeated restores, record whether TrollStore exists, preserve the first crash and restore error, and use the original-app recovery path if the helper cannot run.
Use the helper’s install action once and preserve its exact result. Do not restore Tips yet. If installation errors, collect that stage separately; the successful app replacement did not prove TrollStore installation.
Not yet. Open TrollStore settings and install the persistence helper first. TrollRestore’s own README says the restore method does not install a proper persistence helper automatically.
After the persistence helper is installed, delete the replaced Tips app and redownload Tips from the App Store, following the TrollRestore recovery note and Apple’s built-in-app instructions. Then open both Tips and TrollStore to prove the two outcomes independently.
It should not be your persistence mechanism once the proper persistence helper has been installed. If persistence has not been installed, stop and complete that stage before restoring Tips. Never infer persistence only because TrollStore opened once.
Confirm the exact app name, App Store availability, account restrictions and network before deleting any replacement host. If the genuine app cannot be recovered, preserve the current state and ask for help instead of installing a similarly named package from outside Apple.
Not blindly. A repeat destroys the distinction between route mismatch, backup rejection, replacement failure and helper failure. Keep the first log, confirm the exact build and one missing stage, then repeat only if the matched owner procedure explicitly requires it.
Treat that as a recovery event, not an installer retry. Record the last visible stage, leave the cable and computer state stable, check whether the device reaches the lock or setup screen, and follow the safety and recovery boundary. Do not stack another backup restore.
Fix the connection baseline before running TrollRestore. Use a direct data-capable cable and port, unlock the device, handle Trust once and confirm the phone appears in the owner-required Apple software. An absent USB device cannot produce a valid restore result.
No. Use the MisakaX/misaka26 owner repositories, JJTech0130/TrollRestore and opa334/TrollStore. A repacked GUI or helper changes the binary, update path and recovery assumptions and is outside this guide.
Use TrollStore’s own Settings update path or the official TrollStore release package described by its owner. Do not rerun the MisakaX installer merely to update an already working TrollStore installation.
Uninstall it from inside TrollStore, as the owner directs. Deleting the MisakaX desktop app, restoring Tips or removing a Home Screen icon is not the same operation.
Do not assume so. The TrollStore vulnerability and installation route are build-specific, and 17.0.1+ is outside the published current range. Review the destination build and official TrollStore guidance before updating a working device.
Include true model, chip family if known, ProductVersion, BuildVersion, desktop platform, exact owner asset and hash, chosen removable app, Find My state, USB baseline, restore message, reboot state, helper state, TrollStore state, persistence state and original-app recovery. Redact serial, UDID, IMEI, Apple Account, backup password and private backup data.
There is no zero-risk answer. It restores a crafted backup and temporarily replaces a system app, while the owner warns about bootloop risk. If immediate access, data availability or account recovery matters more than TrollStore, skip the experiment or use a separate test device.
SOURCE BOUNDARY
The four final 17.0 builds are an explicit primary list. Beta routing stays separately labelled, direct-source dependency issues stay separate from packaged GUIs, and no user report becomes a new supported build.
