CAPABILITIES / VERIFIED CLAIMS
Use the ledger to find the right product track, the owner’s minimum system claim, the missing-hardware boundary, a real verification test and the route back. A listed flag is not a promise that every device can perform the feature.
DIRECT ANSWER
MisakaX publishes 22 core feature names. misaka26 carries those claims and adds 4 more. We preserve the owner’s minimum-version wording, then add the question the checkbox cannot answer: what hardware, service or exact-build dependency can still stop the feature?
MisakaX claims also present in misaka26
misaka26-only published additions
filterable rows with proof and revert notes
feature names converted into universal outcomes
READ THE EVIDENCE
The ledger starts with an owner claim. Your device supplies the outcome evidence. Do not collapse these states into one “working” label.
The owner names the flag and a minimum system family.
The write path ends without a command error.
The expected setting or interface appears after reload.
A repeatable task works without breaking a core service.
CHOOSE BY DEPENDENCY
This grouping is faster than scanning names: it shows the boundary most likely to separate visible UI from a working capability.
Dynamic Island, AOD, AoD Vibrancy, Tap to Wake and PWM.
OPEN FIELD GUIDE →IPAD MODEStage Manager, TrollPad, iPad apps, Pencil and external displays.
OPEN FIELD GUIDE →CAMERA + AUDIOShutter Sound, Camera Control and Boot Chime need three different proof tests.
OPEN FIELD GUIDE →SYSTEM FLAGSOne anchored guide for Charge Limit, Action Button, Clock UI, Photos, health, developer and regional flags.
15 claims →SAFETY BOUNDARYCollision SOS, Sleep Apnea and SRD require stricter evidence than a visible switch.
OPEN BOUNDARY →MODERN-ONLYThree iOS 26+ owner claims exist only in misaka26 and keep their hardware limits.
3 claims →BEHAVIORCharge, storage, Clock, Photos and Find My each need a different proof test.
OPEN TEST LEDGER →INSTALLERMatch TrollRestore, helper, persistence and Tips recovery separately.
OPEN FIELD GUIDE →HARDWARE TRUTH TABLE
These are capability boundaries, not claims that a specific unsupported device will reach the first column.

PRODUCT TRACK
Choose the product from exact build support. Choose the flag only after the product is resolved.
The current README covers the iOS 16–18.2 beta 2 era, while individual releases split stable and prerelease ranges. Its feature list is the source for the shared core catalog.
The owner repeats the shared catalog and adds TrollPad, PWM, SRD Mode and M/Pro-game eligibility. The latest release title itself says Unstable and requires a respring for effects.
26-ROW CAPABILITY LEDGER
Search text and every filter are local to this browser. The query string can preserve a filtered view; nothing is uploaded.
iOS 16.0+
Dynamic Island-related capability values and the size choices presented by the app.
It cannot reshape a notch or add display/sensor hardware. Overlap, spacing and animation problems remain model-specific.
Start a real Live Activity or timer; check placement, expansion and both portrait and landscape layouts.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 17.0+
The charge-limit settings surface associated with newer iPhone models.
A visible percentage selector is not proof that an unsupported battery path will enforce it reliably.
Set a limit, observe a complete charging cycle and record whether charging actually stops near the chosen level.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 17.0+
The capability value used for the startup sound.
Silence after a normal restart can still be a build, volume or device-specific outcome.
Perform the release-required reload, then one normal startup under the same audio conditions used for the baseline.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 16.0+
Stage Manager and iPad-style multitasking capability surfaces.
UI exposure does not supply memory, display-output support or iPad-class performance. Identity edits raise a different risk level.
Open multiple supported apps, resize/switch windows and test the intended external-display path separately.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 16.0+
A region/device behavior value associated with the camera shutter sound.
Region behavior can differ. Use it lawfully and never for covert or non-consensual photography.
Take test photos in the normal Camera app under the exact mute/volume/region state you intend to use.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0+
Always-On Display settings and related lock-screen behavior values.
It cannot add the display characteristics of a supported panel. Power use, dimming and screen-off behavior may differ.
Lock the phone, wait through the normal timeout, then test face-down, pocket/covered and Low Power Mode behavior.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0+
Apple Pencil-related settings or capability answers.
It cannot add a compatible digitizer, pairing radio or physical Pencil support.
Treat a settings row as UI exposure only; verify pairing and input in a drawing field before claiming function.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 17.0+
The Action Button configuration surface.
It cannot replace a Ring/Silent switch with a physical Action button.
Confirm the settings panel, then test only the physical control that actually exists on the device.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 17.0+
An internal-storage information presentation used on other device classes.
It does not change flash capacity, free space, storage speed or upgrade the device.
Compare the displayed value with Settings > General > iPhone Storage; do not use the new label as capacity proof.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0+
An alternate Clock interface capability.
The visual result and interaction can change between exact builds.
Open every Clock tab you use, create an alarm/timer and confirm the controls still save and trigger.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0+
A collision/SOS-related eligibility or settings value.
It cannot add or validate the sensors and emergency-service chain required for crash detection.
Verify only that the documented setting appears; never simulate a collision or claim emergency function from UI alone.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iPhone SE 2/3 on iOS 18.0+
The Tap to Wake capability for the two models named by the maintainer.
The claim is explicitly limited to iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation); do not generalize it to other Home-button devices.
With the screen asleep, test several single taps under the same case and surface conditions as the baseline.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.1 beta-era flag claim
Eligibility and settings values associated with Apple Intelligence.
It cannot add RAM/compute, model files, language or region eligibility. UI, model download and working features are separate outcomes.
Record the settings state, model download size/status and one real Siri or Writing Tools task separately.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 17.0+
The landscape authentication capability value.
TrueDepth layout, enrolment and model support still decide whether authentication succeeds.
Unlock from a clean portrait baseline, then test landscape at both orientations without changing enrolment.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0+
An earlier Photos application interface flag.
A previous layout can conflict with data or interface assumptions in a later exact build.
Check Library, search, albums, editing and sharing—not only the first screen.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 16.0+
App Store eligibility values for iPad-class applications.
Listing or installation does not guarantee usable layout, controls, performance or continued availability.
Confirm listing, installation, first launch, orientation, input and the app’s core task as separate states.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 16.0+
Developer Mode and Metal performance HUD capability surfaces.
A visible developer surface is not a security-research entitlement or proof that every development workflow works.
Check the intended Settings surface, restart requirement and one known development/HUD workflow.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0 RC+
Camera Control-related settings or UI values.
It cannot add the pressure/capacitive physical control found on supported iPhone models.
Record the settings surface separately; only test click/press gestures on hardware that physically has Camera Control.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0 RC+
A vibrancy value associated with Always-On Display presentation.
The maintainer warns that it may affect other tweaks; it also inherits the underlying display/AOD limitations.
Compare lock-screen color and legibility with the same wallpaper, then verify other selected display changes still behave.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 18.0 RC+
A sleep-apnea-related eligibility value.
It cannot add supported Watch sensing, regional clearance or clinical validity. It is not a diagnosis or medical tool.
At most verify the eligibility/settings state; use Apple’s supported workflow and a clinician for health interpretation.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
KH/A devices
A region/device-variant value for Find My Friend behavior.
The maintainer limits the claim to KH/A devices. It is not the same instruction as temporarily turning Find My off for Apply.
Confirm the intended Find My people-sharing behavior, then confirm device location and Activation Lock expectations remain intact.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
15.2–16.7 RC (20H18) and 17.0 (21A326/21A327/21A329/21A331)
A TrollRestore-based installer path on the exact range published by its primary project.
This narrow installer range is independent from general MisakaX compatibility. The documented iOS 17.0 builds do not imply later 17.x.
Verify exact ProductVersion and BuildVersion first, then separate helper launch from completed TrollStore installation.
RevertFollow TrollRestore’s app-replacement recovery note; deleting the desktop tool does not restore the chosen system app.
iOS 18.0+
misaka26’s iPad-style multitasking mode.
A respring is required. The current 1.6 page says macOS in the feature line but its changelog says Windows/Intel support was added; platform scope is unresolved.
After the documented respring, test windowing, app launch, rotation and the intended display path without assuming iPad identity.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 26.0+
A PWM-related capability flag added by misaka26.
The owner does not publish a measured frequency, device matrix or comfort outcome. A flag cannot change the physical panel.
Do not infer comfort from the checkbox. Compare the same brightness conditions and use measurement evidence if PWM is the goal.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 26.0+
A Security Research Device mode-related capability flag.
It does not turn a consumer iPhone into an Apple-issued Security Research Device or grant its program entitlements.
Verify only the exact exposed UI/behavior you can observe; do not claim SRD status or security guarantees.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
iOS 26.0+
An App Store eligibility flag for games normally associated with M/Pro-class hardware.
A listing or install button cannot add GPU, RAM, thermal headroom or supported controls.
Record listing, download, launch and a repeatable gameplay segment separately; stop on thermal or stability problems.
RevertUse the matching product’s baseline/original-file route, reload, then re-test the setting and function.
No capability rows match these filters. Reset filters to see all published claims.
BEFORE APPLY
A feature test is useful only when it has a baseline and a stop condition. Write these four lines before selecting the flag.
Capture the current setting, layout and core service behavior.
Name one setting and one functional task, not “phone customized.”
Use the dependency and caveat columns for the selected row.
Boot failure, setup/activation anomaly or a broken core service overrides feature success.
DIRECT ANSWERS
These answers keep product claims, Apple-supported behavior and individual reports in separate evidence layers.
MisakaX can change selected capability values used by iOS or iPadOS on a release-supported build. The owner lists flags for interface, device behavior, developer surfaces and narrow installer paths. The exact result still depends on the product track, build, model, hardware, region and service prerequisites.
This ledger contains 26 published capability claims checked against the current owner pages on August 31, 2026: 22 listed by MisakaX and carried into misaka26, plus four misaka26-only additions. Upcoming items are not counted as released features.
No. A supported release range only says which builds the product claims to address. Each flag can have a narrower iOS family, model, hardware, region or service boundary, and a successful restore can still end with no visible or functional result.
No. The minimum shown in the owner’s feature list is an entry condition, not a complete compatibility statement. Match ProductVersion, BuildVersion, product release and platform first, then evaluate the feature-specific dependency.
No. That label describes the feature’s minimum family inside misaka26; it does not override the product’s write-path boundary. The current owner range stops at iOS/iPadOS 26.1 plus 26.2 beta 1, so 26.2 final and later builds must not be inferred as supported.
The current owner lists the same 22 core capability claims in both product branches. misaka26 additionally lists TrollPad, PWM, SRD Mode and an App Store eligibility flag for M/Pro-chip games. That overlap does not make the products interchangeable; their supported builds, release channels and reload instructions differ.
The current misaka26 README places those two names under “upcoming features,” not “supported features.” We therefore exclude them from the released ledger until the owner publishes them as available in a specific release.
No. A capability value can influence a software decision or reveal a settings surface. It cannot add a display cutout, LTPO-like panel behavior, Action button, Camera Control, Pencil digitizer, crash-detection sensor, RAM or GPU.
It can expose Apple Intelligence-related eligibility or settings values on the owner’s stated beta-era path, but that is not the same as functional Apple Intelligence. Apple’s supported path also depends on compatible hardware, system version, storage, matching language, region and downloaded on-device models.
The setting, model download and service function are separate stages. A public misaka26 issue also reports Siri, dictation and other voice behavior failing after capability changes. Record the selected flags and every affected service, then stop adding changes and use the matching revert route.
The flag can expose Dynamic Island UI, but it cannot reshape the physical cutout. Verify real Live Activities, expansion, touch targets and portrait/landscape placement; notch overlap, spacing or animation faults mean the outcome is partial.
No. The setting can appear while panel behavior, refresh strategy, power use and screen-off conditions differ from a supported device. Test locked, face-down or covered, and under Low Power Mode rather than accepting the toggle as proof.
Return to the baseline rather than waiting for a checkbox to become safe. Record the feature, brightness, charging state and elapsed time; stop the test, use the matching revert route and let the device return to a normal temperature. Apple notes that charging itself can be paused when an iPhone becomes too hot or cold.
No. Apple documents charge limits for its supported iPhone models, but an exposed setting on another model is not evidence of reliable battery control. Observe a complete charging cycle and remember that even Apple’s supported implementation can occasionally charge to 100 percent for calibration.
No. These flags may expose configuration UI. They cannot replace the Ring/Silent switch or add Camera Control hardware, pressure sensing or capacitive gestures.
No. A settings row or capability answer cannot add the digitizer and pairing hardware required for actual Pencil input. Treat the result as UI-only unless pairing and drawing input both work.
No. Never test an emergency feature by simulating a collision. A visible setting does not validate the sensors, algorithms, connectivity or emergency-service chain required for the real feature.
No. It cannot add supported Apple Watch sensing, regional clearance or medical validity. Apple states that its own notification feature is not a medical device or a replacement for diagnosis, treatment or monitoring by a clinician.
The current misaka26 1.6 release page is internally inconsistent: its feature line says TrollPad requires macOS, while the same changelog says version 1.3 added Windows and Intel Mac support. We label the platform scope unresolved and do not turn either sentence into a universal rule.
No. They can expose multitasking or iPad-style interface behavior. Product identity changes are a different and more dangerous action; do not borrow an iPad MobileGestalt or infer safe identity spoofing from a windowing UI.
No published feature claim says Find My must remain off as a permanent dependency. If your matched Apply workflow temporarily required it off, turn Find My back on as soon as that workflow is complete and verify the device appears in Find My; Apple requires Find My to be enabled before a lost device can be located.
No. The owner describes an SRD-related flag. It does not make a consumer device part of Apple’s Security Research Device program or grant special entitlements, hardware, documentation or support.
Not necessarily. App Store visibility, download, launch and stable gameplay are four different outcomes. An eligibility value cannot add the GPU, memory, controls or thermal capacity expected by the game.
The primary TrollRestore project publishes iOS/iPadOS 15.2 through 16.7 RC build 20H18 and the four iOS 17.0 builds 21A326, 21A327, 21A329 and 21A331. This narrow installer range is separate from general MisakaX feature compatibility.
No. Use one feature or the smallest practical set. A minimal change makes no-effect, side effects and rollback attributable; a large bundle makes it difficult to know which value caused the result.
Record restore, reload, setting and functional result separately. Success can describe an earlier process stage; issue #115 records a success message and reboot followed by missing Apple Intelligence and Always-On Display settings. Do not spam Apply.
Record when it disappeared and whether only the setting, only the function or both changed. The owner does not publish one permanence contract for every flag and build. Re-check the exact release and reload instruction, preserve the log and baseline, and do not automatically add repeated writes.
Use the reset or original-file route documented for the same product and release, perform the required reboot or respring, then verify both the setting and the actual function against your baseline. Deleting the computer app does not revert the device.
There is no documented universal selective-rollback contract. The attributable baseline route restores the matched original state; re-adding selected flags afterward is a new change set with a new test. Do not guess which plist key is safe to remove manually.
There is no universal persistence rule. Treat the destination as a new build: preserve the original file and a current backup, use the matching revert route while the device is reachable, verify the baseline, update, then re-check compatibility before another Apply.
Do not substitute a similarly named toggle, paste unknown MobileGestalt keys or assume an “upcoming” item is released. Preserve your current state and wait for a product owner to publish the feature and its release boundary.
Confirm the exact product and release file first. A repository-wide feature list does not prove that every historical binary, platform build or device state presents the same control. Do not switch tracks or edit the plist to imitate the missing checkbox; capture the app version, platform and screenshot, then use the owner’s support route.
SOURCE METHOD
The two owner repositories establish which labels are published. Apple’s own guides establish what the supported feature normally requires. Issues can prove that a failure state exists, but not how often it happens or that every device shares one fix.
NEXT DECISION
The feature row never overrides product compatibility. Resolve ProductVersion, BuildVersion, platform and release channel first.
